LICENSED DRIVER EDUCATION INSTRUCTORS
New Law allows specific driver education instructors to provide the in-vehicle road test.
Because you are a licensed driver education instructor, you may be eligible to earn $55-$75 as a Certified DPS examiner for each 15 minute road test you administer.

      • You must have held your TEA/TDLR instructor’s license for at least the past 22 months.
      • You must be in good standing with the regulatory agency TDLR (formerly the TEA).
      • You must be able to meet the DPS requirements (written test and specific in-vehicle examiner training/testing?  Study materials and trainers available for you.)
